Jeevan Aanand Sanstha

Jeevan Aanand Sanstha (JAS), set up in 2013, is a Public Charitable Organization working in the social sector; helping the road-side destitute, orphans, physically and mentally challenged, & senior citizens by providing food, shelter, hospital services, education to orphan children for development & upliftment of society.

The JAS staff works closely with the roadside destitute with a focus on temporary rehabilitation. Individuals with severe wounds or any medical emergency are brought to the Carver Day/Night Shelters - Khar (male) & Santacruz (female), helping them improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

Sponsorship

Individuals and Establishments can come forward to sponsor the day to day routines of Jeevan Aanand Sanstha by way of sponsoring meals, day to day requirements like beds, medical/elder assistance equipments, food grains, fruits vegetables and so on.

What We Do ?

Treatment

Once we identify destitute individuals on the streets, we conduct a proper assessment and provide immediate cleaning, shaving, bathing, first aid, and basic medical support. We also ensure clean clothing and coordinate with local hospitals for further treatment and care.

Food & Nutrition

After providing immediate medical assistance, we offer nutritious food such as tea, coffee, and biscuits. In special cases, we also distribute ration kits that include rice, grains, sugar, and wheat flour to support their daily needs.

Healthcare

Our doctors examine each case and provide essential medical treatment when required. For individuals with serious health conditions, we ensure proper hospital referral and continued medical care.

Medical Care

Our medical team carefully evaluates each individual’s condition and provides necessary treatment. In critical cases, patients are taken to hospitals for advanced medical care and recovery support.

Education

In some cases, rehabilitation with family is initiated through proper verification, including home visits and background checks. If family support is not possible, individuals are admitted to JAS Home. Many people live with dignity throughout their lives but suddenly find themselves abandoned and in need of care and support.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation begins with a structured process of verifying background information through home visits and assessments. When family reintegration is not possible, individuals are provided long-term care at JAS Home, ensuring dignity, safety, and support for a better life.

Jeevan Aanand Sanstha provides rescue operations, shelter, rehabilitation, medical care, nutritious food, counselling, and social reintegration services for roadside destitute citizens, senior citizens, women, and children.
Jeevan Aanand Sanstha is working for the helpless and roadside patients who are without any support and who have lost all hopes for their life. Jeevan Aanand Sanstha is a home for those who have been rejected by the society. The major activities since its inception are offering free medical treatment and rehabilitation of disabled and disadvantaged roadside people.
Once upon time in Mumbai on year 2000 tentatively, Mr. Sandip Parab, Secretary could see a lot of organizations dedicating resources towards educating & for the development of the children & women. But no one was helping destitute senior citizens. He saw a lot of wounded senior citizens lying on the streets and dying because medical treatment never reached them on the time. Even if the police admitted some of them to the hospitals, they do not have the time to follow up such cases. He sought to bridge this gap and started Jeevan Aanand Sanstha

Need Help

Our motive is to help the poor, helpless and Homeless people all over the world.

A shelter to keep the homeless safe.

71 individuals enrolled in the shelter home during 2018-2019. Apart from those enrolled in the shelter, 133 individuals were identified from roadside, of which 123 were provided the required road-side care. 11 inmates were reunited with their families. Skill development sessions, exercise sessions etc.: Inmates painted 1000 diyas (clay oil lamp) during Diwali festival which was sold to visitors and NGOs. Of the total enrolled in the shelter home, 16 were with special needs. 3 inmates were referred to other shelter homes.
