Programs & Core Activities
Annual performance mapping index and documentation layer tracking 12 structural operational verticals.
Staff Training
A comprehensive training program was conducted for the JAS team consisting of 36 staff members in June & Dec 2018, with the objective of instilling confidence about the work of JAS to ensure efficiency.
The training focused on various reporting formats, MIS systems, organizational policies, and individual roles and responsibilities.
Outreach
JAS team members visited various high-risk areas to identify needy elderly people. The team identified 133 people on the roads and provided target services to all of them this year.
The team provided food, health services, identified relatives, and referred 18 out of 30 straight to the Aashram setup.
Referral & Rehab
During 2018-19, the JAS team referred 3 cases to other ashrams and 10 inmates to hospitals, and were able to successfully rehabilitate 10 inmates effectively.
The team overcame dynamic fieldwork friction by working closely with police officials and hospitals to ensure complete documentation.
Counselling & Therapy
Our inmates are provided with regular counseling to overcome their challenges, cope with current life situations, and develop structured psychological hope for their future goals.
Inmates were involved in target group activities to help them calm down downscale anxiety metrics and develop long-term self-confidence.
NGO Cooperation
JAS has been building networks with like-minded NGOs to optimize the welfare ecosystem. These collaborations directly support operational processing at police stations and hospitals.
This year, the core operations layer developed tight strategic linkages with Santacruz, Kher, Dadar, and Vakola networks.
Livelihood Project
Growing organic vegetables and fruits within the shelter premises is one of the key activities. This initiative contributes directly towards building a completely self-sustainable environment.
Others actively use their specialized skills in making paper and cloth bags, promoting eco-friendly micro-economies internally.
Home Visits
The field team conducts structured home audits to verify tracking data of reintegrated families. This year, the team successfully executed 99 structural validation visits.
Additionally, over 109 customized field touchpoints were performed exclusively to discover and onboard critical new cases in underserved zones.
Awareness Sessions
JAS conducts regular sensitization workshops with schools, colleges, and resident housing sectors to rebuild moral focus on taking specialized care of elderly relatives home-side.
The target setup addresses modern solutions, systemic challenges, and direct public support resources available for senior citizens.
Special Days
Celebrating internal milestones, birthdays, and national festivals ensures a home-like experience. Inmates take complete charge of organizing planning schedules actively.
Events across the yearly operational timeline serve to enhance community bonding metrics and scale emotional wellness index profiles.
Visitors
Global stakeholders, community police leads, and corporate volunteers perform ongoing field engagement loops with the senior residential units directly.
These real-world interaction patterns provide warmth, cross-generational mentorship, and essential outside socialization advantages.
Monitoring & Eval
Data fidelity checks are sustained via automated weekly feedback alignment parameters combined with comprehensive strategic organizational reviews monthly.
Critical incident debugging and resource optimization protocols are processed collaboratively across internal functional teams.
Distribute Blankets
Targeted critical winter response initiatives protect roadside populations sleeping on unprotected transit paths and open infrastructure zones.
The operational framework works closely alongside on-ground volunteer networks to deploy protective equipment rapidly.
