KISHOR VASANT AMUNKAR
Kishor Vasant Amunkar (54) was found on the streets in Bhandup, Mumbai. He has been living on the streets for the past 25 years. He wasn't able to walk because of his health condition. Concerned about his well being, Kiran Gaichor informed Jeevan Aanand Sanstha about the patient. On 10/04/2019, JAS staff went and cleaned his face and bathed him. They also realized that the patient's relatives were not looking after him.
PRIYA PARAB
This lady was doing well in spices business. Her family was well to do. She got married with a driver and she got detached from parent family. Her in laws were also not in good terms with her. Her husband died in an accident and this lady got a severe mental shock .she left the house and started wandering on the streets. Nobody was ready to help her. She also tried for suicide .on knowing about her she gave birth to a girl.
SUNDER PATIL
Mrs. who has been missing from her family for the last 45 years. Sundar Patil Rahanar Kalher-Bhiwandi, was found by the organization a month ago on the road in Boribandar. Our staff brought her to our shelter through police. After 15 days, she only told her address in Thane Colset. Based on that, our staff Ms. Satisfied, she found her relatives.Son, two daughters and daughter-in-law had come to see her today.
NIRASA SAHU
Police identified one child and her mother at Jogeshwari platform no.4. Police arranged to transfer them to Chembur beggar home and meanwhile requested to do something to help them .Sanstha staff visited her at beggars home and found that she is from Orissa .she could not give her correct address . it was observed that she is mentally ill .she along with her baby is admitted to ashram.
SEVA
this is deaf and dump lady was kept on pen railway track by somebody.pen police rescued her and admitted in Sion hospital. Social worker from Sion hospital referred the case to Jeevan Aanand Sanstha and requested for help. After completing official formalities, Seva was admitted to Sanvita aashram in august 2013.They also realized that the patient's relatives were not looking after him.
AAYUSH SOLANKI
There was a phone call to Sanstha office that Renuka, a girl of around 11years age, and her mother Urmila of age around 27 years are staying on footpath at Bandra (e), Mumbai all lone .on enquiry by the staff it was observed that mother is having psychological problem and Renuka has serious wound to her leg full of worms.renuka was treated in Bhabha hospital and take care.
KALPANA
Kalpana was in the 10th standard when her mother expired, her father re-married and she had to drop out of school. All of these events happened in such quick succession that Kalpana could not even think how from a school going kid she suddenly became the one to manage the household and all its chores.
KANCHAN GUPTA
Kanchan is a hard working and courageous girl who wanted to get a job so that the burden on her parents could be lessened. Her father worked as cloth cutter at a tailor’s and her mother joins her father whenever she can spare time. Both parents made sure that Kanchan and her younger brother and sister went to school.
RANJITH
Ranjith’s case came to light during a community survey and he was enrolled for Smile Fopundation’s Smile Twin e-Learning Program at Arnunodaya Trust Centre in Secunderabad. The employability training provided at the centre helped him to enhance his communication, technical, marketing skills and he also regained his lost confidence.
SAVITA TAI
“I feel terribly lonely all the time. When I go somewhere, people look at me as if they are looking at a thief. After a whole day of begging, I barely earn around 100 rupees and I feed myself. I see hatred for me in people’s eyes. I don’t have a home; and living in the street feels like a crime. Yesterday, some men in uniform asked me to open my bag.
MAHESH
Mahesh’s health too started to suffer after the demise of his wife and with no one to care for him he became weaker. It was during one of the community counseling sessions that Mahesh came to know about Smile on Wheels clinic and began to attend it regularly. His health has improved and he also talks to the volunteers and jokes around with them.
HAJRATH BARAR
Hajrath’s problems were identified by Dr. R K Sharma, who heads the project team of Smile on Wheels clinic in Ashok Nagar. Under his prescription, effective tablets and ointments were provided to him, and after 15 days Hajrath’s health started improving. Hajrath Barar has now recommenced his work in the farms.
VRINDA DEVI
The temporary relief provided by pain killers helped her carry on, but her ailment became worse, inching towards a point of no return. JAS began operations in her village in this hour of dire need. The doctor’s checkup revealed a lump in her breast and medication was immediately prescribed. In three months the lump disappeared and so did the pain.
KRISHNA
When the Jas volunteer came to know about Krishna he immediately visited her and told her about the regular visits of the Smile on wheels mobile hospital and the services provided. Krishna was overjoyed because now she could avail healthcare. Krishna Devi’s health care is now being taken care of by team.
MOHIT RANE
When the JAS team services started in the area it bought relief to 42 of the remotest of villages in Kalahandi. Launched in June 2015, the project has already benefitted a population of over 20,000 people. Various sensitization programs to spread awareness about health related issues are conducted regularly.
